A secret kitchen/culinary school/event venue in Lisbon’s new hotspot — how could we resist? With Cozinha de Marvila, we had one clear goal: to design a brand that perfectly reflected the project’s unique versatility. More than a space to learn a few, easy tricks to prepare your own exquisite dishes, the kitchen allows you to host private dinner affairs, gather colleagues or friends in fun workshops, and even organise company events. This comfortable and sophisticated space can also be personalised to your unique needs and preferences — just like home. The first step was of course understanding the client’s needs, their personal taste and vision for the brand — we have a very helpful guide that allows us to easily gather this information — so we could create something that embodied their personality and values. After a few casual meetings, we then presented the main idea/feeling behind the brand, which would guide us though every step and detail to make sure that the end result was coherent and meaningful. For Cozinha de Marvila, it was: “the perfect recipe to bring us together”. Following this concept — yes, it may sound simple, but your brand ethos should be as clear as possible — we opted for warm and neutral colour schemes, connected the different parts of the logo to represent unity, and defined the tone of voice as eager, curious and conversational. The end result — a refined website with easy navigation, beautiful imagery and descriptive copy — is one we’re immensely proud of.
